Product Description
This is a Class II Type A2 biosafety cabinet equipped with lead shielding designed for the safe handling of radioactive and biohazardous materials. It serves as a protective device for workers, the environment, and the materials being handled.
- The internal workspace of the cabinet is constructed from a single piece of stainless steel with rounded corners to minimize particle adhesion. The external body is made of carbon steel and features an epoxy paint finish.
- The incoming air is filtered through a HEPA filter, which captures 99.99% of particles sized at 0.2 micrometers. The air filtration system operates with a 70% recirculation and 30% exhaust configuration.
- An innovative air intake grille design ensures that all contaminated air within the workspace is directed to a designated air trench, preventing contamination inside the cabinet.
- The cabinet is equipped with a vertical tempered glass panel that includes a position sensor. This sensor alerts the operator if the glass panel is not properly positioned, thereby preventing potential cross-contamination.
- Customers have the option to include lead shielding on all sides of the cabinet, ranging from 5 mm to 20 mm in thickness.
- A sliding lead glass block is installed on the front of the cabinet to protect the operator from radiation exposure.
- Furthermore, a shielded dose calibrator housing is located beneath the work surface to provide additional protection and functionality.
